MARYSVILLE, CA -- A four-run first inning helped Medford roll past Yuba City, 11-5 on Wednesday night at Colusa Casino Stadium.
Clay Valenzuela-Reece (Campbellsville) led off the game with a single. Johnny DeLaCruz (UL-Monroe), Connor Lowrie (Blackhawk JC) and Jake Hellweg (Bethune Cookman) walked consecutively. Alex Isola (Utah) knocked two runners home with a single.
Davis Delorefice (Utah) had a two RBI triple in the fifth inning. Delorefice finished 1-3 with three RBI.
Isola went 2-5 with two hits and two RBI. Hellweg went 2-4 with three runs and an RBI.
Central Point’s Chris Painter (Tennessee Wesleyan) improved to 2-0 after tossing 6.1 innings of four hit baseball.
