Rogues Win Another Close One

Back-to-back one run wins for the Rogues

MARYSVILLE, Ca. – The Medford Rogues (14-6) defeat the Marysville Gold Sox (6-13), 6-5 on Tuesday night at Colusa Casino Stadium.

 

Ashland native Jamie Flynn (Cornell) pitched four innings, giving up no runs on just three hits.

Peyton Fuller (Oregon), another Ashland native, pitched three innings in relief, giving up two earned runs and striking out five.

Jake Hellweg (Louisiana-Monroe) led off the seventh inning with a double, and would come around to score on the RBI by Connor Konishi (San Jose State).

Connor Lowrie (Blackhawk JC) delivered a bases-clearing three RBI double in the eighth inning, and would come around to score the deciding run on an RBI single by Josh Berman (Clark CC).

Jayden Hanna (Lane CC) had three hits and a run scored on the night.

Taylor Frost (Southern Idaho) came on in relief in the 8th inning, with the bases loaded and just one night for the second consecutive night. And for the second consecutive night, Frost got out of the inning unscathed. Frost would pitch a 1-2-3 9th inning for his second save in as many games.

Dante Gutierrez (San Diego) left the game in the 6th inning with a bee sting below the left eye. He's considered day-to-day.

The Rogues have won 11 out of their last 13 games.
